Title: Senior Marketing Manager – Communications
Location: 100% Remote
Opening for an experienced and versatile Sr. Marketing Manager – Communications with a professional history of successful storytelling, content creation and lead generation through powerful writing. This position creates and executes communication-based strategy and plans while also producing and editing customer-facing content and corporate communications.
Develop communication strategies and plans to execute marketing initiatives
Oversees and supports content on website as primary function, will be creating site content (with SEO design) as primary responsibility
Contributes to the development and ongoing content of email marketing
Writes and edits majority of external and internal communication
Assist with creating and managing public relations and media relations campaigns, including writing press releases, responding to media inquiries, monitoring and tracking media mentions
Owns major end-to-end processes and events on a project, takes initiative and uses problem solving skills to think beyond the task to the outcome that needs to be achieved
Independently gathers information from a variety of sources to analyze, interpret, and summarize data gathered and to deliver insights
Creates comprehensive and effective communications strategies that support annual and quarterly marketing plans
Knowledgeable in strategic communications planning methodology, leading edge practices, trends and information; aware of employee engagement strategies and innovative tactics being applied in the marketplace
Strong presentation writing, complementary visual design skills highly preferred
Outstanding ability to manage relationships and balance customer, project, organization and team needs to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes
Excellent consultative skills and ability to communicate effectively across varied stakeholder audiences, including senior organizational leaders
Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment
Write copy, edit submissions and publish content, ensuring all content is consistent with the guidelines and standards.
Owns and updates style guide and brand guidelines
Skills & Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years of directly related experience, concentrated on high-volume B2C audiences
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or similar discipline
Proficient in advanced oral and written communications, advanced writing, editing, content planning and problem solving
Confident, versatile and practiced written communicator fluent in website content, article creation, SEO-designed content, press releases, business storytelling and corporate/brand communications
Strong writing, editing, proofreading and publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
Mastery of AP style, demonstrable range of relevant work samples
Excellent organizational and planning skills; self-directed and motivated
Superior project management and time management skills
Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media, social media, website content and business storytelling strategies
Self motivated with a positive and professional approach to management a team contribution
Survey design and research experience strongly preferred
