Dropoff is looking for a Strategic Account Director whose primary focus is to ensure the retention and growth of a select group of Enterprise accounts in the Dropoff client portfolio. The Account Director assumes primary responsibility for the retention and growth of key accounts through client relationship building and active monitoring of key performance indicators. This includes designing and managing an ongoing customer care program that produces a superior customer experience. 

As part of the sales organization, this individual has a successful career track record in account management and farming for new opportunities for growth in the assigned book of business. The Director is the primary client advocate for all aspects of the relationship, with a deep understanding of client needs in key industries, especially healthcare/lab clients. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in a senior account management role successfully growing and retaining strategic accounts, preferably in the healthcare industry. Experience with laboratory and or hospital lab delivery logistics is a plus. This position reports to the Chief Revenue Officer.


  • Achieve sales growth and retention quota for assigned strategic accounts/books of business. 

  • Successful track record in pipeline management and the sales cycle.

  • Hunter and growth mentality through deepening and broadening relationships within decision makers and influencers of strategic accounts.

  • Manage multiple priorities across all company functional teams, while working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborate with other functional areas, creating and maintaining standard operating procedures and protocols for key client care activities to ensure service excellence, consistency, and alignment with client goals.

  • Partner with other day-to-day operations of client and Dropoff personnel to the assigned portfolio of accounts.

  • Complete account KPI and data analysis, surfacing areas of opportunities for both customer and company. 

  • Hold regular QBRs deepening the value proposition and partnership with decision makers and influencers while increasing market share within the account(s).


  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Previous sales experience and working with CRM 

  • Proven ability to work independently, collaborate with other functional areas, and making good decisions with minimal supervision

  • Clear and precise communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Strong leadership skills, with an ability to both serve and direct team activities

  • Positive interpersonal skills, maintaining a positive attitude while working with individuals in different departments and in pressured situations

  • Superior interpersonal skills, capable of managing senior executive client relationships in serious, stressful, deadline-oriented matters.

  • Analytical skills – analyze complex data, draw accurate conclusions, make business recommendations

  • Strong problem-solving skills, reacting quickly in a dynamic environment

  • Posed, professional demeanor in every situation.
